Dhanbad, August 20: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Aditya Ranjan has officially assumed the role of president of the Dhanbad District Badminton Association (DDBA). A delegation of DDBA, led by senior vice-president Satish Kumar, met him on Tuesday evening and felicitated him for accepting the position.
The post had been lying vacant for the past four months since May 2025, following the transfer of former DC Madhwi Mishra. By tradition, the post of DDBA president is designated for the deputy commissioner. Although Aditya Ranjan took charge as DC in May, he accepted the responsibility of the sports body only on August 19.
