Daltonganj, August 22: An attempt to murder accused Manish Kumar Sharma has been sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment by the court of the Principal District and Sessions Judge Diwakar Pandey on Friday.
The court has imposed a fine of rupees 50,000 on Sharma, and in the event of failure to pay this penalty, the convict Sharma is to undergo one more year of imprisonment.

The case dates back to 2023 when Sharma had attacked Manoj Kumar with a knife on his neck. Manoj Kumar had lodged the FIR in this connection.

The convict hails from Cheechori village under the Parwa police station limits in Palamu.
The investigation officer of this case is Qadir Ansari, an Assistant Sub-Inspector of police.
