Dhanbad, Aug 26: BIT Sindri, in collaboration with TEXMiN – CPS Centre of Excellence, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, will host TEXcelerate 2025 on August 30 under the Institution Innovation Council (IIC 7.0).

Sharing the details on Tuesday evening, Prof. Prakash Kumar, President of IIC 7.0, said the flagship competition is aimed at nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship among students.

“This year, 12 finalist teams will showcase their innovative ideas before a distinguished panel of experts. The winners will receive pre-incubation funding of ₹2,00,000, which will be awarded to five startups from the BITS–TEXMiN CPS Centre of Excellence,” he informed.

Some of the key innovation themes in the mining safety and technology domain include: Mine Shield – Smart Noise Cancellation Helmet, AI-based Smart Helmet, Smart Safety Upgrade for Mining Trucks, and Affordable Localized Smart Ear Protectors for Underground Miners.

Prof. Prakash Kumar, the senior-most professor of BIT Sindri and President of IIC 7.0, emphasized, “TEXcelerate 2025 is not just a competition but a platform to empower young minds to create impactful innovations with real-world applications.”
