Jamshedpur, Sept 16: The Ranchi Meteorological Centre has predicted heavy rainfall at isolated locations across north-central and adjoining north-western parts of the state in the next couple of days.

Sept 16: Heavy to very heavy rainfall likely at isolated places over North-Central and adjoining North-Western regions.
Sept 17: Heavy rainfall forecast for Northern and adjoining Central parts; thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) expected at isolated places.

Sept 18: Heavy showers likely at isolated locations over North-Western and North-Central regions, along with thunderstorm and lightning activity.
Sept 19: Thunderstorms and lightning accompanied by gusty winds predicted at isolated places.
The line of withdrawal of the southwest monsoon currently passes through Sri Ganganagar, Nagaur, Jodhpur, Barmer and parts of Gujarat.
Conditions are favourable for further withdrawal from more parts of Rajasthan and adjoining areas of Punjab and Gujarat over the next two days.
An upper-air cyclonic circulation persists over East Bihar and adjoining areas between 3.1 and 5.8 km above mean sea level.
Another cyclonic circulation over the southeast Bay of Bengal extends up to 3.1 km above mean sea level.
The monsoon remained active across the state, with light to moderate rainfall reported at most places in the past 24 hours.
