JD(U) releases 2nd list of candidates for Bihar polls

 

Patna, Oct 16: The Janata Dal (United) has now finalised its entire slate of candidates for the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, unveiling its second and final list on Thursday.

This list features 44 nominees, completing the party’s allocation of all 101 seats agreed upon in the NDA’s seat-sharing arrangement.

Among the key names, Dharendra Pratap Singh alias Rinku Singh has been fielded from Valmikinagar, Sammridh Verma from Sikta, Vishal Shah from Narkatiya, Shalini Mishra from Kesariya, Shewta Gupta from Shivhar, and Nagendra Raut from Sursand.

The party had already announced its first list of 57 candidates a day earlier, on Wednesday. The NDA’s distribution of tickets was sealed on Sunday, under which the BJP and JD(U) were each allotted 101 constituencies, while the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) received 29 seats. The Rashtriya Lok Morcha and Hindustani Awam Morcha were given six seats each.

Polling for all 243 Assembly constituencies is set to be conducted in two phases, on November 6 and November 11, with the counting of votes scheduled for November 14.
