Patna, Oct 18: Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Patna on Saturday to review the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) preparations and strategy ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections.

The elections for the 243-seat assembly are scheduled in two phases on November 6 and 11, with counting set for November 14.

During the meeting, the party leadership discussed plans to secure historic victories in key constituencies, highlighting the NDA’s unified approach compared to the ongoing internal clashes within the Mahagathbandhan, where candidates from the same alliance have filed nominations against each other.

The NDA has finalized nominations for all 243 candidates, ensuring clarity and avoiding confusion that has been evident in the opposition bloc.

Paswan emphasized the alliance’s focus on development as the central election narrative, underlining the contrast with Bihar’s situation in the 1990s, when crime, mismanagement, and declining investment under the RJD and Congress led to out-migration and economic stagnation.

He framed the NDA as an alliance committed to growth, progress, and governance reforms, aiming for a complete strike rate in the polls while countering false narratives.

The meeting also reinforced the NDA’s campaign momentum, noting Prime Minister Modi’s 11 visits to Bihar in the past year as evidence of the central leadership’s priority for the state.

The discussions reflected a comprehensive roadmap to mobilize support, promote development-focused initiatives, and consolidate the alliance’s prospects for a decisive electoral outcome.
