Power and water infrastructure are also being finalized — each block will have eight 500 KVA transformers, a four-lakh-million-litre-per-day overhead tank, and two borewells to ensure a steady supply.

The Birsanagar project spans 48 acres, comprising 9,592 flats across 23 blocks.

Among these, Blocks 8 and 23 — totalling 644 flats — are fully completed and ready for occupancy.

Out of 5,366 applicants, 644 beneficiaries were selected through a lottery.

Around 300 have already deposited the full payment of Rs 4.31 lakh, while others are completing instalments.

However, nearly 350 loan applications remain pending with banks, causing some delay in the process.

Officials are confident that all pending works — roads, electricity, and water connections — will be completed by December, allowing beneficiaries to move into their new homes early next year.
