Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinai Saxena, and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta were also present at the event.

The year-long commemoration, running from November 7, 2025, to November 7, 2026, honours the timeless composition by Bankim Chandra Chatterji, which first appeared in his novel Anandamath published in the journal Bangadarshan.

Written on Akshaya Navami on November 7 in 1875, the song portrays the Motherland as a symbol of strength, prosperity, and divinity, inspiring unity, patriotism, and self-respect during India’s freedom struggle.
