Hazaribag, Dec 21: Four out of seven from Buxar in Bihar who were living in Rasuligunj close to the town died inhaling noxious gas last night. The other three are battling for their lives in the hospital.

Police reached the spot after getting information about the incident and sent the body for postmortem.

Sources said all seven sleeping in a room burnt the coal in a stove to beat the cold. With door and windows of the room shut, the carbon monoxide coming out from the burning coal engulfed the bedroom. All sleeping there inhaled the poisonous gas killing four on the spot.

This morning when the door remained shut, local people came there and then they came to know about this tragic incident. All those admitted to Sheikh Bhikari Medical College are undergoing treatment and are critical.
