DC Shashi Ranjan inspected the facility on Wednesday. Civil surgeon Dr Anil Kumar and DPM Deepak Kumar Gupta were present on the occasion.
Later, speaking to this correspondent DC Shashi Ranjan said, “We are committed to deliver high-quality treatment for women and children Our 60-bed SNCU is indicative of it.”

The Labour room is to be shifted soon, said the civil surgeon.
An anaesthesia work station is set up here. Shashi Ranjan reiterated that our aim is to stop the migration of special newborn children to other private SNCUs as here we will be having SNCU of high order.
Out patient departments for gynae and paediatrics have started functioning. OPD slips are issued here right now. No woman is to wander for an OPD registration.
Calling out the names of the patients has always been a chaotic affair. Here a token system is to be launched to prevent noisy scenes. The token number will be flashed on the screen, said ANM Chanchala Kumari.
