Jamshedpur, Jan 3: The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Ranchi, on Saturday reported mild winter conditions across Jharkhand, with no cold wave or rainfall recorded in the past 24 hours.

According to the IMD, Ranchi recorded a maximum temperature of 22.8°C, which was 0.7°C below normal, while the minimum temperature stood at 12.3°C, 3.2°C above normal.
Jamshedpur witnessed a maximum temperature of 25.4°C and a minimum of 10.5°C, indicating slightly warmer night conditions.

Highest and Lowest Temperatures Recorded
Among the monitored stations, Chaibasa recorded the highest maximum temperature at 26.8°C. The lowest minimum temperature in the state was recorded at Gumla, where the mercury dipped to 6.6°C.
The IMD confirmed that no rainfall was recorded anywhere in Jharkhand during the past 24 hours.
Visibility was affected due to fog in some areas. The lowest visibility of 450 metres was reported at Deoghar, while Jamshedpur also experienced fog with visibility around 600 metres.
No Cold Wave Conditions
The meteorological department clarified that no cold wave conditions prevailed across Jharkhand during the observation period.
Automated Weather Station (AWS) data showed that temperatures remained largely stable across districts including Bokaro, Hazaribagh, Khunti, Latehar, Lohardaga, Pakur, Saraikela, Simdega, and West Singhbhum, with no significant weather disturbances reported.

The IMD stated that it continues to closely monitor weather patterns and has advised residents to remain cautious during early morning hours due to fog-related visibility issues.
