Jamshedpur, Jan 7: The Steel City is set to relive one of its most cherished cultural traditions as the 46th MAXI Fair returns to the XLRI Football Ground on January 17 and 18.

Known as Jamshedpur’s longest-running cultural festival, the MAXI Fair once again promises a lively mix of creativity, competition and community spirit.

Theme Rooted in Films and Music

This year’s theme, “Marketing Manoranjan,” draws inspiration from films, music and shared memories, reflecting the cultural soul of a city that balances industrial discipline with a deep love for celebration.

The fair will feature seven carefully curated events, offering an immersive, all-day experience for participants and visitors of all age groups.

Daytime Competitions and Activities

Daytime programmes will include popular competitions such as MasterChef Jamshedpur, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Jamshedpur, Fancy Dress, Art Attack, Dance Mania, Bollywood Trivia, and the crowd favourite Mr. & Ms. Jamshedpur Fashion Show.

Alongside these events, the Mela Zone will remain open throughout the day, featuring games, food stalls and family-friendly entertainment.

The evenings will be dedicated to live music performances. Neeraj Sridhar will perform on January 17, followed by a soulful closing night by Mohit Chauhan on January 18. Both performances will begin at 7.30 pm at the XLRI Football Ground.

More than just a festival, the MAXI Fair continues to symbolise togetherness and cultural bonding, reinforcing Jamshedpur’s enduring tradition of celebrating art, talent and shared joy.
