Ranchi, January 9: The Department of Women, Child Development and Social Security has started the online application process for the Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana from the current financial year, enabling eligible adolescent girls to apply digitally through their schools.
Launched in 2022–23 by the Jharkhand government, the scheme aims to promote the education and empowerment of adolescent girls by providing financial support to help them continue their studies.
Rs 40,000 incentive for Classes 8 to 12
Under the scheme, eligible girls studying from Class 8 to Class 12 receive a phased financial incentive of Rs 40,000, ensuring continuity in education and reducing financial constraints.

Over 6 lakh applications received so far
Officials said that 6,07,467 applications have been received online to date. Of these, Rs 104.65 crore has already been disbursed to 2,78,463 beneficiaries, while payments for the remaining applicants are in progress.
Applications have been received from 13,469 schools out of 15,007 schools registered on e-Vidyavahini across Jharkhand. Field-level education officials have been directed to ensure applications from the remaining schools.
Training for smooth implementation
To ensure smooth execution of the online process on the savitribaipksy.jharkhand.gov.in portal, the Social Welfare Directorate has trained concerned officials, school headmasters, Block Education Extension Officers (BEEOs) and Child Development Project Officers, with regular technical support being provided.
Eligible students can seek assistance from the District Education Officer, District Social Welfare Officer, school headmasters, BEEOs or Child Development Project Officers at the block level.
