Jamshedpur, Jan 13: Tata Steel on Tuesday launched TEEP 2.0, the upgraded framework of its flagship Tata Education Excellence Programme (TEEP), marking a new phase in efforts to strengthen school education in and around Jamshedpur.
The formal launch was held at The United Club, bringing together education leaders and representatives from 26 partner schools, reaffirming a shared commitment to building future-ready learning systems.

The event was attended by D.B. Sundara Ramam, Vice President – Corporate Services and Chairperson of the TEEP Executive Committee; Peeyush Gupta, Vice President – TQM, GSP and Supply Chain and Alternate Chairperson; Atul Bhatnagar, Managing Director, TSUISL; Tripti Srivastava, Chief – TQM & CQA; and Sourav Roy, Chief – CSR.

Members of the TEEP team and Tata Steel Foundation were also present.
What’s New in TEEP 2.0
Co-created by Tata Steel and its partner schools, TEEP 2.0 reflects the evolving needs of modern education.
Along with a refreshed logo, the upgraded framework places stronger emphasis on effective teaching practices, leadership development, and student-centric outcomes, helping schools better prepare students for future challenges.
Speaking at the launch, D.B. Sundara Ramam said the phased rollout of TEEP 2.0 across 30 partner schools would significantly strengthen school systems through continuous improvement and excellence-driven practices.
Peeyush Gupta highlighted that Tata Steel brings a unique combination of systems, expertise, and values to support schools. He noted that TEEP 2.0 follows a holistic approach, going beyond academics to nurture leadership, values, and responsible citizenship among students.
A Two-Decade Legacy
Launched in 2003, TEEP has worked consistently with schools in and around Jamshedpur to improve educational quality through a structured, year-long engagement and assessment process.
With the launch of TEEP 2.0, the programme is set to further deepen its impact and help schools deliver high-quality, meaningful, and future-ready education.
