Jamshedpur, January 17: Jharkhand continues to experience cold and stable weather conditions as no significant synoptic system is prevailing over the state, according to the latest weather assessment.
North-westerly to northerly winds are dominating up to the middle tropospheric levels, maintaining dry atmospheric conditions across Jharkhand and sustaining the winter chill.
Cold wave, shallow fog reported
During the past 24 hours, dry weather prevailed across the state, while shallow fog was reported at isolated locations, particularly during the early morning hours.
Cold wave conditions were also realised at a few places, further intensifying the cold.

Fog likely till January 22
As per the forecast, shallow fog or mist is likely to occur at isolated places during morning hours from January 17 to January 22. The sky is expected to remain mainly clear during the rest of the day.
No major weather change expected
No significant change in weather activity is anticipated over the next six days, though cold wave conditions may persist at isolated locations, especially during night and early morning hours.
Residents have been advised to take necessary precautions against the prevailing cold conditions.
