Ranchi, January 30: The Annual Sports and Fest 2026 at Usha Martin University concluded on Friday with a cultural evening and prize distribution ceremony, marking the end of the four-day event.
Winners of sports and cultural competitions were felicitated by Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Milind in the presence of senior university officials. The overall programme was organised under the guidance of Dr Jayantika Pal, Dean Students’ Welfare.
Musical Performance Marks Final Day
The final day featured a live musical performance by Unnati Shah, which drew large student participation. Students gathered on campus and took part in the closing celebrations.

Speaking on the occasion, Unnati Shah said she enjoyed performing for the students and appreciated their participation during the event.

During the closing ceremony, winners of athletics events, including races, long jump, high jump and shot put were awarded. Teams that performed well in kabaddi and other team sports were also recognised.
Awards were also given to winners of various cultural competitions, including dance, singing, drama, theatre, mehndi, rangoli, photography and reel making.

Cultural Interaction During Fest
Earlier in the fest, students had an interaction with Madhu Mansoori Hasmukh, an Indian singer, songwriter and activist. The session focused on music and creative expression and was attended by students from different departments.
Food and Game Stalls Add to Fest Activities
Food stalls and game stalls were set up on campus throughout the four days and remained operational till the final day. Students and faculty members participated in the activities, contributing to campus interaction.
University officials said the successful completion of the Annual Sports and Fest 2026 reflected the institution’s emphasis on sports, cultural activities and student engagement. The event concluded with participation from students and staff across the campus.
