Ranchi, March 24: Usha Martin University organised an awareness programme on “Cybercrimes in Today’s Digital Age” at its auditorium on Tuesday.

The session, held from 12 noon to 1 pm, focused on creating awareness about cyber threats and promoting safe digital practices among students.

Experts Highlight Cyber Safety

The programme was attended by media and radio professionals, including Dr. Manjit Singh, Brand Event Radio Head, Prabhat Khabar; Sameer, RJ, Radio Dhoom; Rajeshwari, RJ, Radio Dhoom; and Kajal Tiwari, Manager – Advertisement, Prabhat Khabar.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Madhulika Kaushik welcomed and felicitated the guests. The speakers highlighted the growing importance of cybersecurity in an increasingly digital world and stressed the need for awareness and caution while using online platforms.

Students Share Experiences, Join Discussion

Students actively participated in the session by sharing their personal experiences related to cybercrime. This led to an interactive discussion on online safety, responsible digital behaviour, and preventive measures.

The interaction helped students better understand real-life cyber risks and ways to protect themselves.

Focus on Awareness and Responsibility

During the programme, Dr. Manjit Singh also spoke about the “Nasha Mukti Abhiyan,” emphasising the importance of awareness and responsible behaviour among youth.

The event provided students an opportunity to interact with industry professionals and gain practical knowledge about cyber threats and their prevention.
