Ranchi, May 8: Renowned culinary expert and MasterChef judge Chef Vaibhav has announced the launch of The Wok Whisperer, an immersive Asian pop-up dining experience inspired by more than two decades of travel and culinary exploration across Southeast and East Asia.
The pop-up will open to guests on May 8, 2026, while an exclusive media preview is scheduled for May 7.
Hosted at Oona — The One in Ranchi, The Wok Whisperer aims to blend authentic Asian flavours with contemporary culinary techniques and cultural storytelling.

The concept draws from Chef Vaibhav’s experiences across Asia — from bustling street food markets to fine-dining kitchens — and reflects his signature approach of balancing authenticity with innovation.

Menu Inspired by Asian Culinary Journeys
The specially curated menu features inventive small plates such as Japanese Avocado Pizza and Mala Chicken Dumplings.
Among the standout mains are Char Grilled Seabass with Yuzu Miso Chilli and Gochujang Pasta Bucatini, each designed to showcase distinct regional influences through a modern presentation.
Speaking about the concept, Chef Vaibhav said:
“The Wok Whisperer is a culmination of my travels, memories, and experiences across Asia over the last two decades. From the vibrant street food culture of Bangkok to the precision and finesse of Tokyo’s kitchens, every dish carries a part of that journey. Through this pop-up, I wanted to create more than just a menu — I wanted guests to experience the emotion, culture, and inspiration behind every plate.”

According to the organisers, The Wok Whisperer promises a unique culinary experience that combines storytelling, innovation and the vibrant essence of Asian cuisine.
