Loyola School, Telco honours merit, leadership and resilience at annual prize distribution ceremony

Jamshedpur, June 22: Loyola School, Telco celebrated its 6th Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony with grandeur and enthusiasm, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s journey as it honoured the achievements of its first-ever ICSE batch.

The event highlighted academic excellence, leadership, perseverance and holistic development, reflecting the school’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals.

The ceremony was graced by chief guest Parul Singh, former Deputy Municipal Commissioner of Adityapur Municipal Corporation and a Jharkhand Administrative Service officer.

The programme commenced with a soulful prayer dance performed by students, setting a reflective and inspiring tone for the occasion.

Students Recognised Across Multiple Categories

Students were felicitated in several categories, including General Proficiency, Remarkable Improvement, Golden Heart (Student for Others), and Resilience and Grit Awards.

The celebration was further enlivened by a vibrant fusion dance performance. Gaurav Mahato, the first President of the School Student Council, also shared his leadership journey and experiences with the audience.

First ICSE Batch Receives Special Recognition

One of the highlights of the event was the felicitation of the school’s inaugural ICSE batch.

Subject toppers were specially recognised for their outstanding academic performance. Students who excelled in co-curricular and extracurricular activities, including the Press Club, Literary Club, Bio Club, Interact Club, Jyoti Club, Art Club, Music, Dance, General Knowledge and Sports, received the prestigious Principal’s Awards.

Chief Guest Encourages Students to Dream Big

Addressing the gathering, Parul Singh urged students to dream ambitiously, embrace challenges with courage and cultivate the values of discipline and determination.

She emphasised that sustained success is built on consistency, hard work and resilience. She also encouraged parents to instil strong values in their children and serve as positive role models.

Jishan Som Named ICSE Batch Topper

The coveted ICSE Batch Topper Award was presented to Jishan Som for securing the highest marks in the board examinations.

Meanwhile, Lakshya Verma received the prestigious Mr. Loyola Award for his exemplary leadership, discipline, confidence and all-round excellence.

The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Principal Charanjeet Ohson.

A touching rendition of the Candle Song, followed by the Loyola Anthem, brought the memorable celebration to a dignified and emotional close.

Prominent members of the school administration, including Rector Fr. Michael, Fr. Oscar Horo, Administrator Fr. Gerry D’Souza, Vice-Principals Reshma Rodrigues and Zeenat Maria Sundi, and Moderator Colleen Xavier, were present on the occasion.
