Toyota showcases hybrid luxury as Camry takes Centre Stage at Jamshedpur drive event

Jamshedpur, June 24: Toyota Kirloskar Motor, in association with Bebbco Toyota, hosted an exclusive drive experience for its flagship luxury sedan, the Toyota Camry, in Jamshedpur on Wednesday, highlighting the vehicle’s hybrid technology, premium features and performance credentials.

The event, held at the Bebbco Toyota showroom in Adityapur Industrial Area, brought together customers, automobile enthusiasts and media representatives for a closer look at one of Toyota’s most successful hybrid models.

Focus on Self-Charging Hybrid Technology

A major highlight of the programme was an interactive audio-visual presentation by Toyota trainer Ajay Jairam, who explained the working of the company’s self-charging hybrid system.

He demonstrated how the combination of a petrol engine and electric motor delivers improved fuel efficiency, smooth acceleration and lower emissions while maintaining performance and driving comfort.

The session also covered the Camry’s safety systems, intelligent driver-assistance features and premium interior technologies.

Test Drives Showcase Comfort and Performance

Participants took part in specially curated test drives designed to showcase the sedan’s refined handling, quiet cabin and seamless hybrid performance.

Guests were introduced to the Camry’s spacious interior, executive-style seating, advanced connectivity features and comfort-focused amenities aimed at enhancing the ownership experience.

During the presentation, the Camry was compared with premium sedans such as the BMW 3 Series, Audi A4 and Skoda Superb.

Toyota representatives highlighted the Camry’s hybrid powertrain, lower running costs, fuel efficiency and the brand’s reputation for reliability as key differentiators in the luxury sedan segment.

Priced at around ₹48 lakh (ex-showroom), with an on-road price of approximately ₹57 lakh in Jharkhand, the Camry occupies a niche position in the premium sedan market by combining luxury motoring with environmentally conscious technology.

Company officials reiterated Toyota’s commitment to expanding hybrid mobility solutions in India and promoting sustainable transportation without compromising comfort or performance.

Toyota Strengthening Presence in Jharkhand

Among those present were Dishika Bhalotia of Bebbco Toyota and Abhishek Acharya, Field Manager (Jharkhand) of Toyota Kirloskar Motor.

The event also underscored Toyota’s growing presence in Jharkhand through its dealership network in Jamshedpur, Ranchi and Dhanbad.

The regional drive experience reinforced the Camry’s position as a benchmark in the luxury hybrid segment, showcasing how advanced technology, efficiency and premium comfort can coexist in a single package.
