Ranchi, September 19: BJP leaders and workers paid their last respects to Vimla Pradhan, senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader, former minister in the Jharkhand government and prominent tribal community leader, at the party’s state office in Ranchi following her death.
Her mortal remains were brought to the BJP state office, where State BJP President Prof. Aditya Sahu and other senior leaders paid floral tributes. The party flag was draped over her mortal remains as leaders and workers gathered to pay their respects.
Aditya Sahu recalls Vimla Pradhan’s contribution
Paying tribute, Prof. Aditya Sahu described Vimla Pradhan’s death as an irreparable loss to the BJP, the tribal community and society.
He recalled her as a simple, approachable and affable leader who established a distinct identity during her tenure as an MLA and remained actively involved in organisational activities.
Sahu said her dedication to the party and her warm and affectionate relationship with party workers would always be remembered. He said her absence would be deeply felt by the BJP organisation and prayed for peace to the departed soul and strength for the bereaved family.
‘Dedicated to organisation and public service’
BJP State Organisation General Secretary Karmveer Singh also paid tribute to Pradhan and recalled her contribution to the party and the tribal community.
He said she consistently gave priority to organisational work and remained actively engaged with party workers. Her dedication, organisational involvement and close relationship with workers would continue to be remembered, he said.
Singh said her death had left a void in the party and society and described her as a dedicated public leader.
Leaders and workers pay homage
A large number of BJP office-bearers, party workers and well-wishers gathered at the state office to pay their last respects.
Those who paid tribute included National Secretary Pradeep Verma, former State President Deepak Prakash, Dr Yadunath Pandey, Neelkanth Singh Munda, Manoj Singh, Ganesh Mishra, Shalini Vaishikhyar, Hemant Das, Samir Oraon, Sudarshan Bhagat, Neera Yadav, Ashok Baraik, Prakash Singh, Sandeep Verma, Shobha Yadav, Aarti Kujur, K.K. Gupta, Neeraj Singh, Satish Sinha, Manoj Vajpayee, Seema Singh, Sunny Toppo, Manoj Dubey, Sanjay Chaudhary, Anil Singh, Anita Bhatia, Maya Singh Patel, Seema Sharma, Prabhu Dayal Baraik, Pinky Khoya, Prem Mittal, Varun Sahu, Anjali Kashyap, Nutan Pahan and Anita Verma, among others.
Party leaders recalled Vimla Pradhan’s simplicity, organisational commitment and public service, saying her contribution would remain part of the BJP’s organisational memory.
