Jaipur, Jan 6: In the first significant administrative reorganisation in Rajasthan since the Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma-led BJP took office, the newly established state government has transferred 72 Indian Administrative Service officers and 121 Rajasthan Administrative Service officers.
Late on Friday night, the Department of Personnel issued the transfer orders.
Late-night announcements revealed changes in the collectors for 36 districts, along with significant shifts in the leadership of several major departments. Siddharth Sihag, the former collector of Churu, has been reassigned and appointed as the Chief Minister’s Joint Secretary.

The state government issued a directive late at night that stated, “Collectors of 27 old and 9 new districts have been changed in the transfer list released by the Personnel Department late last night. Among the old districts, collectors of Baran, Banswara, Dholpur, Hanumangarh, Churu, Jodhpur, Pali, Bhilwara, Alwar, Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Jhalawar, Chittorgarh, Kota, Dungarpur, Jhunjhunu, Sirohi, Sawai Madhopur, Dausa, Sikar, Rajsamand, Karauli, Pratapgarh, Sawai Madhopur. Tonk, Bundi have been transferred.”
The transfer list also includes the replacement of the collectors for new districts, including Kekri, Balotra, Phalodi, Anupgarh, Behror, Didwana-Kuchaman, Gangapur City, Salumber, and Beawar.
Three IAS officers given additional charge
Additional charges have been given to three IAS officers which include Udaipur Divisional Commissioner Rajendra Bhatt, Agriculture and Panchayati Raj Department Commissioner Kanhaiya Lal Swami and Devasthan Department Commissioner Kumari Pragya Kewalramani.
Additionally, 121 RAS officers including a number of additional collectors and sub-divisional officers have been transferred by the government.
