Jamshedpur, Jan 8: Several places especially in the western region of Jharkhand are expected to experience light rain this mid-week around Wednesday, January 10, said a forecast issued by IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre today.
A forecast of moderate to dense fog was issued for the next two days.
A cyclonic circulation was hovering over southwestern Uttar Pradesh at 1.5 km above mean sea level.
Weathermen said due to its impact rain is expected in western Jharkhand this mid-week.

Meanwhile, very light rain occurred at isolated places over the state during the past 24 hours while shallow to moderate fog was also recorded at isolated places over southern and adjoining central parts of the state.
The highest rainfall of 2.2 mm was recorded at Parsabad (Koderma).
The highest maximum temperature of 26.8°C was recorded at Chaibasa while the lowest minimum temperature of 12.2 °C was also recorded at Chaibasa in the neighbouring West Singhbhum.
