SUBHASH MISHRA

Dhanbad, Jan 20: Central trade unions have called a nationwide industrial strike on February 16 in protest against the abolition of labour laws by the union government.

Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) national secretary AK Jha giving this information said that the government of India has abolished all labour laws and has decided to implement only four labour codes. Social security of labour has been stopped and in place of 8 hours, they are forced to work for 12 hours.

“So, the central trade unions have called a nationwide industrial strike on February 16,” he said. The strike would be implemented in Jharkhand effectively, he added.
