Jamshedpur, Jan 22:  IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued a forecast of dry weather in the state for the next two days.

The Met Centre also issued an alert of moderate fog for the next 48 hours.

Weathermen said no significant synoptic condition prevails over Jharkhand.

Jet stream winds of the order of 130-150 knots at 12.6 km above mean sea level was prevailing over the plains of northern India.

However, weathermen at IMD’s Patna Met Centre, which too monitors Jharkhand’s weather did not rule out the possibility of rainfall in some pockets of Jharkhand, especially southern region.

Meanwhile, dry weather prevailed over the state, while shallow to moderate fog was realized at isolated places over the eastern and southern parts of the state.

The highest maximum temperature of 24.4°C was recorded at Jamshedpur while the lowest minimum temperature of 3.2°C was recorded at Gumla.
