Jharkhand: DPS Ranchi equips school buses with library on Republic Day 

 

Ranchi, January 26: DPS Ranchi celebrated the 75th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotism, showcasing a splendid array of performances highlighting the essence of unity, diversity, and the importance of education. 

A series of activities and presentations marked the event, each resonating with the nation’s spirit.

Library on wheels 

On this occasion, DPS Ranchi started a pilot library wherein small libraries have been created in all DPS Ranchi’s buses, which the children can utilise to gain knowledge during travelling. 

Principal hoists tricolor 

The celebration commenced with the school principal, Dr. Ram Singh, hoisting the National Flag. The entire school premises echoed the harmonious rendition of the National Anthem, sung by the students in unison, filling the air with pride and patriotism.

The March Past, a symbol of discipline and precision, was presented by the school’s students and NCC cadets. Their synchronised movements and immaculate formations were a testament to the dedication and hard work put in during the rehearsal sessions.

Cultural extravaganza

The cultural extravaganza started with a mesmerising Group Dance performance titled “Shiksha Ka Mahatva,” which portrayed the significance of education in shaping the nation’s future. 

The dancers’ graceful movements and expressive storytelling left the audience enthralled.

Patriotic song

Following this, the school choir presented a soul-stirring rendition of the patriotic song “Aye Watan,” evoking a deep love for the country. The powerful lyrics and melodious voices resonated with the audience, creating an emotional atmosphere.

Deputy Head Girl

The Deputy Head Girl, Patruni Yamini, addressed the gathering, emphasising the importance of unity, integrity, and the role of the youth in building a stronger nation. 

Tanay Kumar of Class VII recited a poignant poem titled “Maa Jab Jab Tum Akul Aaogi”, capturing the emotional bond between the patriots and the motherland.

Responsibilities of Children

Class I presented a heartwarming act on the “Responsibilities of Children,” highlighting the role of the younger generation in building a responsible and compassionate society.

Solo song

A soulful solo song, ‘Sau Raginiyon Se Saja Bharat’, performed by Vaishnavi Vrinda of Class VIII, showcased the rich cultural heritage of India. 

Class III presented an engaging act titled “Naya Bharat,” envisioning a future where the ideals of justice, equality, and progress shape the nation’s destiny. 

A self-composed poem by Pragya Pallavi of Class XI provided a thought-provoking reflection on the nation’s current state and aspirations for a better future.

The Principal, Dr. Ram Singh, delivered a motivational address, encouraging the students to be responsible citizens and actively contribute to the country’s progress.
