Dhanbad, February 8: Gurunank College emerged champion in the Binod Bihari Mahto Koylanchal University (BBMKU) Dhanbad Youth Festival 2024.

Gurunank College won gold medals in 11 events out of 27, followed by SSLNT Women’s College in 2nd and PK Roy Memorial College in 3rd position, respectively.

CIMFR Director Prof AK Mishra, IIT ISM Deputy Director Prof Dheeraj Kumar and Vice-Chancellor Dr Pawan Kumar Poddar gave away the trophy to the winner, Gurunanak College principal Dr Sanjay Singh and the runner’s team.

Core committee member Dr Himanshu Shekhar Choudhary conducted the function.

Registrar Dr Kaushal Kumar, DSW Pushpa Kumari, Dr Tapti Chakraborty, Dr Pravin Singh, principals of different colleges, including PK Roy Memorial College principal Dr Kavita Singh, senior faculty members of postgraduate departments were also present on the occasion.

Elocution- 1st Gurunanak College ( Afsan Praveen),2nd SHM BeD College ( Rekha), 3rd BSK College Maithon ( Isha Singh),  Rangoli– 1st Gurunanak College ( Tanushri), 2nd Prajan BeD College ( Payal), 3rd SSLNT Women’s College ( Komal Bharti). Debate – 1st Gurunanak College ( Riya and Afsan), 2nd SSLNT Women’s College ( Rishi and Raj), 3rd PK Roy Memorial College Manisha – Shubham).
