New Delhi, Dec 9: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday released its second list of 20 candidates for the upcoming Delhi assembly elections, after a pivotal meeting of its Political Affairs Committee (PAC) led by party convenor Arvind Kejriwal.

AAP has altered former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia’s constituency, selecting him to contest from Jangpura instead of Patparganj.

Awadh Ojha has been nominated as the candidate for Patparganj, the seat formerly held by Manish Sisodia.

The Aam Aadmi Party’s list of candidates includes Manish Sisodia from Jangpura, Dinesh Bhardwaj from Narela, Surender Pal Singh Bittu from Timarpur, Mukesh Goel from Adarsh Nagar, Rakesh Jatav Dharamrakshak from Mangolpuri, Pradeep Mittal from Rohini, Punardeep Singh Sawhney (Saby) from Chandni Chowk, Parvesh Ratan from Patel Nagar, Rakhi Bidlan from Madipur, Pravin Kumar from Janakpuri, Surendar Bharadwaj from Bijwasan, Joginder Solanki from Palam, Prem Kumar Chauhan from Deoli, Anjana Parcha from Trilokpuri, Avadh Ojha from Patparganj, Vikas Bagga from Krishna Nagar, Naveen Choudhary from Gandhi Nagar, Jitender Singh Shunty from Shahdara, Adil Ahmad Khan from Mustafabad and Jasbir Karala from Mundka.

The Aam Aadmi Party’s second list of candidates excludes 17 sitting MLAs, choosing instead to field new contenders.

Delhi’s assembly elections are expected to take place in early 2025, though the Election Commission has not yet declared the official dates.

Delhi last held its Assembly elections in February 2020 in which the AAP won 62 out of the 70 Assembly seats.
