PINAKI MAJUMDAR

Jamshedpur, January 23: In a major operational change under the South Eastern Railway (SER) zone, Adityapur Railway Station has been officially declared a satellite station of Tatanagar, railway officials said on Thursday.

Following approval from the Railway Board, a formal notification has been issued, under which eight trains that earlier originated from or terminated at Tatanagar will now begin and end their journeys at Adityapur.

Move to Ease Congestion at Tatanagar

Railway officials said the decision aims to reduce congestion at the busy Tatanagar Railway Station and improve direct rail connectivity for passengers from the Adityapur–Gamharia industrial belt.
