On Sunday evening, Shah arrived in Jammu and held a closed-door meeting with BJP MLAs and office-bearers at the party headquarters.
This visit marks Shah’s first trip to the Union Territory since the formation of the National Conference government in October last year.

Ongoing Anti-Terror Operation in Kathua
A large-scale search operation has been ongoing in Kathua’s forest areas since March 23, after security forces intercepted a group of five terrorists who infiltrated through the Hiranagar sector. A fierce encounter on March 27 led to the deaths of four policemen and two terrorists.
Following his visit to Kathua, Shah is scheduled to meet the families of fallen Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel and hand over appointment letters to family members selected on compassionate grounds at Raj Bhavan in Jammu.
