Asian Games: India bags gold in squash mixed doubles

Hangzhou, Oct 5: The Indian team of Dipika Pallikal and Harinder Pal Singh Sandhu won the mixed doubles final on Thursday, giving India a gold medal in squash.

In a close match, Dipika-Harinder prevailed over the Malaysian duo of Aifa Binti Azman/Mohammad Syafiq Bin Mohd Kamal. They won the game 11-10, 11-10 in a straight set in 35 minutes. They won the match 11-10, 11-10 in straight games in 35 minutes.

“Indian Squash Reigns Supreme! Our dynamic mixed doubles team of @DipikaPallikal and @sandhu_harinder clinches GOLD, defeating Malaysia by a score of 2-0 in the final at #AsianGames2022! Join us in celebrating this golden achievement and sending them our heartfelt congratulations!,” Sports Authority of India (SAI) wrote on X.
