Ayodhya, Dec 30: Two new Amrit Bharat trains and six new Vande Bharat trains were flagged off from Ayodhya Dham Station by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday.
In addition to launching other projects, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Ayodhya today to inaugurate the Amrit Bharat and Vande Bharat trains.
The new Amrit Bharat trains will run as the Malda Town-Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminus (Bengaluru) Amrit Bharat Express and the Darbhanga-Ayodhya-Anand Vihar Terminal Amrit Bharat Express.

Vande Bharat trains
The Vande Bharat trains that were flagged off are the following: the Ayodhya-Anand Vihar Terminal Vande Bharat Express, the Jalna-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express, the Mangalore-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express, the Amritsar-Delhi Vande Bharat Express, the Coimbatore-Bangalore Cantt Vande Bharat Express, and the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express.
Railway projects
In order to improve the rail infrastructure in the region, the Prime Minister also dedicated three railway projects worth Rs 2300 crore to the country.
The projects comprise the third line project for Rooma Chakeri-Chanderi, along with the Jaunpur-Tulsi Nagar, Akbarpur-Ayodhya, Sohawal-Patranga, and Safdarganj-Rasauli segments of the Jaunpur-Ayodhya-Barabanki doubling project. Additionally, there is the doubling and electrification undertaking for the Malhaur-Daliganj railway section.
