BCCI announces ₹58 crore reward for Team India for Champions Trophy triumph

New Delhi, March 20: The BCCI today announced a ₹58 crore cash reward for Team India following their ICC Champions Trophy triumph earlier this month in Dubai.

The financial reward will be shared among players, coaching and support staff, and the men’s selection committee, headed by Ajit Agarkar. However, the Board did not disclose the specific breakdown of the reward in its statement.

Under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, India clinched their third Champions Trophy title with a four-wicket victory over New Zealand in the final.

“The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is delighted to announce a cash reward of INR 58 Crore for Team India following their triumph at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. This financial recognition honours the players, coaching and support staff and members of the Men’s Selection Committee,” BCCI said in a press release.

Calling the achievement remarkable, BCCI president Roger Binny stated that winning consecutive ICC titles reflects the team’s dedication and excellence on the global stage.

“Winning back-to-back ICC titles is special and this reward recognizes Team India’s dedication and excellence on the global stage. The cash award is a recognition of the hard work that everyone puts in behind the scenes. This was also our second ICC Trophy in 2025, following the ICC U19 Women’s World Cup triumph and it highlights the strong cricketing ecosystem in place in our country,” Binny said.
