New Delhi, Sept 30: Bhojpuri actor-singer Pawan Singh, who was expelled from the BJP last year, met Union Minister and party president JP Nadda at his residence in New Delhi on Tuesday, fueling speculation of his political comeback.
The meeting comes just weeks before the Bihar Assembly elections, likely to be held in October–November.
When asked whether he planned to rejoin the BJP, Singh dismissed the notion of a break with the party, saying, “When did we separate? We are together.”

Singh’s expulsion in 2024 stemmed from his decision to contest independently from Bihar’s Karakat Lok Sabha seat, defying the NDA’s official candidate.
The BJP had earlier considered him for the Asansol constituency in West Bengal to challenge TMC’s Shatrughan Sinha, but he withdrew after facing backlash over his controversial songs and films.
Following his refusal, the party fielded Surinderjeet Singh Ahluwalia from Asansol, while Singh went on to fight Karakat as an independent, leading to disciplinary action against him.
