Dhanbad, Dec 25: The alumni of BIT Sindri 1985 batch held a get-together function on the campus and chalked out ambitious plans for the institution’s development and students’ career growth.

Altogether, 40 students of the 1985 batch, living in different states and abroad, in their daylong function, shared their success stories of life and discussed how to contribute jointly to the development of their alma mater and guide present students.

“A small get-together was organized on the campus today. It was a golden opportunity for us to renew contact among us. The present students of the institution also got the opportunity to learn and get direction from their alumni. Students’ confidence also became stronger after meeting and discussing with us,” said an alumnus.

Making the get-together function memorable, they also planted trees on the campus.

Since BIT Sindri has been celebrating its Diamond Jubilee since November 26, the 1985 batch alumni get-together remains significant. Though on occasion, they did not announce any development project for the institution as other alumni had done last month, a senior faculty member said the 1985 alumni discussed various development projects in their short function.

BIT Sindri Director Dr Pankaj Rai, Career Development Centre (CDC) Chairman Dr Ghanshyam, and other senior faculty members were also present at the get-together.
