Ranchi, March 27: Rohit Verma, the accused arrested in connection with the murder of BJP leader Anil Tiger, has provided the police with several crucial details, including the motive behind the killing.

Notably, Anil Tiger was shot dead in broad daylight on March 26 in Kanke. The police apprehended Rohit Verma, who sustained a gunshot wound during the arrest. He has now revealed the reason behind the murder to the authorities.

BJP and AJSU Call for Ranchi Shutdown

In response to the murder of BJP leader Anil Tiger, the BJP and AJSU announced a Ranchi bandh (shutdown) on March 27. As a result, security has been heightened across the capital.

According to sources, Rohit Verma and his associates had a long-standing dispute with Anil Tiger. Additionally, Rohit informed the police that Anil Tiger was allegedly involved in conspiracies to murder several individuals.

The killing was carried out as an act of revenge for the murder of criminal Shubham Jaiswal in Lohardaga. The police are continuously interrogating Rohit and conducting raids to apprehend his absconding accomplice, Aman Singh.

Background: Lohardaga Shootout and Connection to Anil Tiger

On January 14, a broad daylight shooting took place at Kudu Bus Stand in Lohardaga, where a notorious criminal was fatally shot and died on the spot.

The deceased was identified as Subhash Jaiswal, alias Chhotu, who was previously linked to a ₹13 lakh robbery and firing case in Ranchi’s Pandra area.

Rohit Verma, who has been arrested for Anil Tiger’s murder, was closely associated with Subhash Jaiswal. Rohit suspected that Anil Tiger was behind Subhash’s murder, which led him to plan and execute the killing. The police are now searching for his accomplice, Aman Singh.

Aman Singh Missing Since Subhash Jaiswal’s Murder

Aman Singh, whom the police are actively searching for in connection with Anil Tiger’s murder, has not returned home for the past two and a half months.

His father confirmed that Aman had been missing since the January 14 incident in Lohardaga. The police suspect that Aman either feared that Anil Tiger might have him killed or was actively plotting revenge. His arrest is expected to reveal the full details of the case.
