New Delhi, Feb 17: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has secured a decisive victory in the Delhi Assembly elections, winning 48 out of 70 seats in a direct battle against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which managed to secure only 22 seats.
Following this win, the BJP’s Legislative Party meeting is now scheduled for February 19 in Delhi, with the swearing-in ceremony of the new Chief Minister likely set to take place on February 20 at Ramlila Maidan, a BJP source told news agency ANI.
The BJP is expected to announce Delhi’s new Chief Minister on February 19 after its Legislative Party meeting.

The meeting, originally planned for February 17, was postponed by two days, according to a BJP source. BJP General Secretaries Vinod Tawde and Tarun Chugh have been appointed as in-charges to oversee the event’s arrangements.
The grand swearing-in ceremony is expected to witness the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, several Chief Ministers, NDA leaders, Union Ministers, corporate industrialists, film stars, cricket players, and religious leaders.
