PINAKI MAJUMDAR

Jamshedpur, Oct 24: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to go full throttle in the Ghatshila by-election, scheduled for November 11, with an aggressive campaign lineup immediately after Chhath.

The final day for public rallies is November 9, and the party plans to make the most of it.

BJP organization in-charge Abhay Singh said that top leaders from Jharkhand and West Bengal will campaign in the region. Suvendu Adhikari, Bharti Ghosh, Sukanta Majumdar, Locket Chatterjee, and Rani Mukherjee are among those expected to address voters in key areas.

Union coal and mines minister G. Kishan Reddy will visit Ghatshila–Jadugora to highlight recent central initiatives, including new mining projects aimed at boosting local employment and development.

Adding star power to the campaign, actor-turned-politician Mithun Chakraborty will hold a roadshow, following up on his successful appearance during the 2024 elections.

The BJP’s national panel has named 40 star campaigners, including Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Babulal Marandi, Arjun Munda, Raghubar Das, and Champai Soren, underscoring the party’s determination to capture Ghatshila with a high-voltage campaign push.
