BJP releases fourth list for Maharashtra Assembly elections

New Delhi, Oct 29: The BJP today released its fourth list of candidates for the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections, announcing two names.

In the fourth list, Sudhir Laxmanrao Parwe has been fielded from the Umred (SC) Assembly seat, while Narendra Lalchandji Mehta will contest from the Mira Bhayandar Assembly constituency.

Today marks the last day to file nominations in Maharashtra, which is scheduled to hold elections on November 20.

Elections for Maharashtra’s 288 Assembly seats will be held in a single phase on November 20. Among these seats, 234 are General, 25 are reserved for Scheduled Tribes (ST), and 29 for Scheduled Castes (SC).

A total of 9.63 crore voters will exercise their right to vote, including 4.97 crore men and 4.66 crore women. There are 20.93 lakh first-time voters.

A total of 1,00,186 polling stations will be set up across 57,789 areas, with 42,604 in urban areas and 57,582 in rural areas. The election results will be announced on November 23.
