Ranchi, Nov. 13: BJP state spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo today asserted that the NDA will win more than two-thirds of the 43 seats in the first phase.

Addressing a press conference, Pratul said, “From cities to rural areas, people were seen voting in the name of change.”

People want freedom from Hemant govt

“The people of Jharkhand wanted freedom from the most corrupt Hemant government in the history of Jharkhand. Record scams took place during the tenure of the Hemant government and the entire law and order system collapsed,” he maintained.

The BJP leader said that the voting trends indicate that the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha is heading towards losing badly even on many of its traditional seats.

“According to the information received so far, there is a strong possibility of an increase in the percentage of votes compared to the last assembly elections. This is an indicator of change,” he added.

Pratul said that complaints were received against the alliance candidates of Ranchi and Hatia that they were trying to influence the voters even inside the polling booth.

“A complaint was also made to the Election Commission. A police officer from Hussainabad was working in favour of the RJD candidate. There are reports that the state government has tried to influence the election through its officials in many places. As information is coming, complaints are being made to the Election Commission. Making tool kits for the officials clearly shows the panic of the defeat of the Thug Bandhan,” he alleged.

BJP lauds EC

Pratul said that the Bharatiya Janata Party congratulates the Election Commission, security personnel, and police administration for conducting peaceful elections.

“The Election Commission had conducted the elections in a very good system. There is no information of any untoward incident even in many highly Naxal-affected areas, which is highly commendable. Better arrangements were also seen in the booths,” he said.

Pratul said that senior leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party, including former Chief Minister Arjun Munda, former Chief Minister Champai Soren, Union Minister Annapurna Devi, Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth and many other senior leaders also participated in this wave of change by voting.
