THE JHARKHAND STORY NETWORK

Ranchi, March 17: The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) has rubbished reports that question papers for the Combined Civil Services preliminary examinations were leaked in Jamtara, Chatra, and Dhanbad.

JPSC seeks report from Jamtara DC

A reliable source said that the Jamatra DC and the SP told JPSC Chairperson Nileema Kerketta that the centre mentioned in the viral video does not exist in Jamtara. “She has a report from the DC and will, after that, make an official comment in this regard,” the source added.

Over 3.5 lakh students

Over 3.5 lakh students took the 11th, 12th and 13th Combined Civil Services Preliminary Examinations held across Jharkhand today.

Candidates created a stir in Jamtara, Chatra and Dhanbad, alleging that the question paper was leaked.

The aspirants protested at JJS Degree College Centre in Mihijam, Jamtara. The students left the exam hall and started alleging that the question paper was leaked.

Students alleged that the paper was leaked even before the exam was given.

In Chatra, some candidates also created a stir at the examination centre located at Upendranath Verma College, Chatra. The students alleged that the seals of the question paper were already open.

JPSC candidates created a stir in Putki Government High School, Dhanbad.

BJP seeks probe

Meanwhile, BJP state president Babulal Marandi, sharing some videos on social media, said that the decision of the Champai government to conduct the JPSC examination in a hurry with incomplete preparation and a malicious attempt to sell seats had shattered the students’ dreams.

“It is a shame to have exams in Jharkhand, and the paper gets leaked every time! The JMM—Congress government has created such an image that ‘if there will be an examination, the paper will be leaked,’” he maintained.

Union Agriculture and Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda also said that it is a blow to deserving students, who work hard waiting to get an opportunity to prove their mettle. “Chief Minister Champai Soren should take it seriously,” he maintained.
