Breaking News: Police recover Rs 10 lakh from car at Jharkhand- Bengal check post

 

 Dhanbad, March 14: The district police on Thursday evening recovered Rs 10 lakh cash from a car at the Maithon check post on the Jharkhand—Bengal border under the Maithon police station, around 40 km away from here.

  Maithon Out Post (OP) police station officer-in-charge Akrishti Aman told media persons that the car ( Hyundai JH10bZ 5841) was going from Barakar (West Bengal) to Barbadda ( Dhanbad). Cash was recovered during routine checking at the check post in the wake of the Lok Sabha poll.

Three detained

  Three persons, identified as Sanjiv Kumar Yadav, Manoj Hari and driver Nimai, have been detained. The Dhanbad Income Tax department has been informed about the recovery and the probe.

 Himant Sinka Company

  The detained persons said they were staff of Himant Sinka Company Barbadda Dhanbad (the dealer of Tata commercial vehicles) and were returning to Dhanbad after collecting money in Barakar.
