Chandigarh, Dec 9: A BSF spokesperson reported on Monday that a suspected Pakistani intruder was shot dead along the International Border in the Amritsar district of Punjab.

The incident occurred near Mahawa village on Sunday night when BSF troops observed suspicious movement in the border area.
The BSF spokesperson explained that during the night, vigilant troops observed the suspicious movement of a Pakistani intruder who secretly crossed the international boundary. The intruder then moved toward the border security fence, attempting to take advantage of the darkness.

The BSF spokesperson stated that when the troops challenged the intruder, he ignored the warning and ran towards the security fence. Noticing his aggressive movement, the troops opened fire, neutralizing him immediately.
The spokesperson added that a shoulder bag containing clothes and personal belongings was recovered.
