Raipur, August 20: Chhattisgarh’s council of ministers under Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai reached a record 14 members on Wednesday with the induction of three MLAs, the highest since the state’s formation in 2000.

Traditionally, the cabinet in the 90-member assembly has consisted of 13, including the chief minister.

With their induction, the cabinet—previously comprising 11 members including the CM—has reached its maximum strength. The portfolios of the new ministers are yet to be announced.
