New Delhi, June 7: Following a meeting on Friday at his Delhi residence, Chirag Paswan, the president of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), was elected as the LJP (Ram Vilas) Parliamentary Party leader.

All five MPs from the party, Veena Devi, Arun Bharti, Shambhavi Choudhary, and Rajesh Verma, along with LJP President Chirag Paswan, were in attendance at the meeting.

LJP affirms full support for PM Modi

After the meeting, Paswan stated that the selection of the PM as the leader of the NDA Parliamentary Party was only a formality. He emphasized that they had contested the election under the PM’s leadership and expressed confidence in forming the government for the third consecutive term with a solid majority.

Paswan mentioned that all NDA MPs would come together to complete this formality. He also mentioned that the government would soon be formed, with the PM taking the oath for the third time, and assured that it would be as robust as it has been in the past decade.

Chirag says no demands raised in NDA meeting

Chirag Paswan dismissed rumours surrounding his party’s demands, asserting that the LJP is fully dedicated to supporting Narendra Modi. He emphasized that during the recent NDA meeting, the LJP expressed its support for PM Modi’s leadership unconditionally, without attaching any conditions or demands.

Paswan clarified that no party within the NDA presented any demands during the meeting; instead, all parties extended their support unequivocally. He indicated that the NDA might submit a letter of support for PM Modi’s leadership to the President on the same day.
