Jamshedpur, August 7: The CISCE Regional Volleyball Tournament (For Girls) 2025, hosted by D.B.M.S. English School, Jamshedpur, commenced on August 7.
The two-day tournament, being held on August 7 and 8, brought together talented teams from the Jamshedpur, Bhagalpur, Ranchi, and Dhanbad zones.
Competitions were held across three categories – under 14, under 17, and under 19.

The inauguration ceremony took place at 9:00 AM and was graced by the Chief Guest, Priyanka Singh, Deputy Election Officer and Deputy Collector, Jharkhand Administrative Service, East Singhbhum.
She formally inaugurated the championship by lighting the ceremonial lamp and hoisting the CISCE Sports Flag. She was joined by Priti Sinha, Zonal Co-ordinator of the Jamshedpur zone, and Rajani Shekhar, Principal of D.B.M.S. English School and Treasurer of the CISCE Bihar and Jharkhand region.
Prachi, a promising volleyball player from the Jamshedpur zone, administered the sportsman’s oath. The ceremony featured a prayer song and a Yoga Display by the students of D.B.M.S. English School.

Principal Rajani Shekhar welcomed the teams and motivated them to give their best and strive for excellence. Priyanka Singh also addressed the gathering and inspired the young players to aim high and stay dedicated in their pursuit of success. A token of appreciation was presented to the Chief Guest by Archana Ramesh, Secretary of the School Managing Committee.
