CM Hemant Soren underlines role of Treasury, Opposition in Jharkhand’s development

Ranchi, Dec 10: On the second day of the special session of the Jharkhand Assembly, Chief Minister Hemant Soren addressed the House following Rabindra Nath Mahato’s re-election as Speaker. He began by congratulating Mahato on being re-elected and praised his successful leadership during the Fifth Jharkhand Assembly.

Soren emphasized the importance of the opposition’s role alongside the ruling party in achieving the state’s overall development. He urged the opposition to respect the mandate given by the people during the elections. He further called for collective efforts to fulfil the dreams of great visionaries who shaped the state’s aspirations.

He further stated that this is the greatest temple of democracy, a result of the dedication and sacrifices of the nation’s great visionaries. He remarked that the strength of India’s democracy is recognized worldwide. Diverse languages, cultures, and traditions come together as one, finding solutions to every challenge collectively.

He noted that the nation has consistently honoured the ideas of these visionaries since independence, carrying their thoughts forward and striving to strengthen democracy continuously.

We will try to move forward together for betterment of state: CM

Chief Minister Hemant Soren congratulated Rabindra Nath Mahato, acknowledging his successful leadership during the Fifth Assembly session. He praised Mahato for conducting the House with patience and sensitivity, maintaining balance and dignity between the ruling and opposition parties. Soren highlighted Mahato’s significant role in upholding the House’s decorum and expressed gratitude for his efforts.

He further noted that Mahato had been unanimously chosen as the Speaker of the Sixth Assembly, reflecting the trust and confidence of all members. Soren expressed hope that, like previous sessions, the Sixth Assembly would also witness collective efforts toward the state’s comprehensive development. He emphasized the need for unity and collaboration in advancing Jharkhand’s progress.

“It is hoped and believed that in the sixth assembly too, like the previous sessions, we will all gather together in this temple for the all-round development of this state and we will all try to move forward together for the betterment of this state,” he said.
