Jamshedpur, Dec 17: Cold conditions continued across Jharkhand on Wednesday as minimum temperatures dipped in several districts, while fog reduced visibility at a few locations.

According to statistics of IMD, Ranchi recorded a maximum temperature of 24.2°C and a minimum of 9.0°C, slightly below normal.
The coldest place in the state today was Ranchi AMFU (Agro Meteorological Field Unit), where the minimum temperature dropped to 5.3°C.

Jamshedpur recorded a maximum of 26.3°C and a minimum of 12.6°C, while Daltonganj saw temperatures ranging between 25.8°C and 7.9°C.
Chaibasa PTO (Part-time Observatory) emerged as the warmest location in the state with a maximum temperature of 28.0°C, which was above normal.
Bokaro Thermal recorded a minimum temperature of 9.5°C, significantly below the seasonal average.
Fog was reported in parts of the state, with visibility dropping to 400 metres at Deoghar.
Ranchi and Jamshedpur also experienced fog, with visibility around 600 metres during the morning hours.
No rainfall was recorded anywhere in the state during the past 24 hours, and the IMD said no cold wave conditions were reported.
Meteorological officials stated that cold mornings are likely to persist in the coming days, especially in the central and western parts of Jharkhand, while daytime temperatures are expected to remain near normal.
