PINAKI MAJUMDAR

Jamshedpur, Nov 13: Jharkhand reeled under a cold wave as temperatures plummeted across several districts, with six regions recording minimum temperatures below 10°C.

Khunti and Gumla emerged as the coldest district in the state, while Chaibasa remained the warmest.

The lowest visibility of 1500 metres was reported in Ranchi today.

According to the Ranchi Meteorological Centre, isolated pockets in western Jharkhand experienced cold wave conditions over the past two days.

No significant synoptic weather system currently prevails over the state.

Jamshedpur also witnessed a sharp drop in temperature, with the mercury falling by 3.4 degrees Celsius compared to the previous day.

The dip marks the onset of a chilly spell across most parts of Jharkhand, prompting residents to bring out their winter clothing earlier than usual.
