New Delhi, Nov 28: Congress will convene a Parliamentary strategy group meeting at 5 pm on November 30 at Sonia Gandhi’s residence, 10 Janpath, to plan its approach for the Winter Session of Parliament, which is scheduled from December 1 to 19.
Leading the Opposition in both Houses, Congress is expected to push for debates on pressing national security and foreign policy concerns. The party may raise the Delhi blast of November 10, which claimed 15 lives, as a critical issue.

It also plans to highlight US President Donald Trump’s repeated comments on mediating a ceasefire between India and Pakistan during Operation Sindoor, as well as ongoing trade and border issues with China.

Congress leaders have emphasized that unresolved matters with China, including the lack of a border agreement and the negotiations based on the “new normal” set by Beijing, remain major points of concern. Congress MP Jairam Ramesh also identified the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise as a key agenda item for discussion.
According to sources, Kiren Rijiju has scheduled an all-party meeting on the same day, November 30, ahead of the session.

Congress MPs will likely use these platforms to press the government on both internal security and international diplomacy issues.
